Farrow & Ball Live on IFS Human Resources

01 Feb 2013

Vanilla Solutions is proud to announce the go live of the IFS Applications HR module at Farrow & Ball, the luxury paint and wallpaper manufacturer.

Farrow & Ball implemented IFS in 2010 and have a policy of continuous improvement to drive best possible value from the application. Having worked with Farrow & Ball, providing flexible ad-hoc support and consulting, Vanilla Solutions were chosen to assist with the HR project to replace a legacy system that was coming towards its end of life.

The project commenced with a two day workshop to review the scope of the HR module and agree upon the day one objectives. Following on from this, a week’s workshop took place where the Vanilla and Farrow & Ball HR staff worked through the application, defining the new processes. The Farrow & Ball staff quickly absorbed how IFS worked and, with frequent follow up visits from Vanilla, designed, tested and implemented business processes to support the HR function. Working alongside this, Vanilla also provided technical consultants to review and migrate data as well as design the day one reporting requirements.

Following a period of parallel running, Farrow & Ball are now live with the IFS HR module and working towards future phases including training management and time & attendance.

Said Stephanie Gilmour, HR Business Partner at Farrow & Ball “We really appreciated the approach Vanilla took to the project. The initial overview and workshops were delivered in such a way that we became quite self-sufficient very quickly, a testament to how Vanilla constructed them. Following on from this, the flexible approach in terms of ongoing project support, both functionally and technically, meant that we delivered the project under budget. We were able to call on Vanilla as and when required and their experience in IFS was a key factor in the success of the project.”

Said Jason Belcher, Director at Vanilla Solutions “We have been working with Farrow & Ball for a number of years now and this flexible model allows them to call on us as and when required, when either staff are fully utilised or a new module needs implementing and we can act as the subject matter expert. This demonstrates our proposition of being a proven, flexible partner for IFS Applications.”
